Ex- beauty Nigeria, Helen Prest-Ajayi, has lost her husband, Dr Tosin Ajayi.
Ajayi was a trained medical doctor at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, he died on Monday 27th April in Lagos.
He was the founder of First Foundation Medical Centre.
Burial plans are underway by the family,
The late Ajayi held a Master of Science degree in Cardiology from the National Heart and Lung Institute, (NHLI) Imperial College, University of London.
He also had a Diploma in Internal Medicine from the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, University of London (1997); Diploma in Neurology from the Queens Square Institute of Neurology, University of London (1998); and Diploma in Cardiology from the Imperial College, London.
Helen, however, was crowned Miss Nigeria at the age of 19 in 1979. Afterwards, she represented Nigeria at the Miss World pageant and furthered her education at King’s College London, earning a Master’s degree in law following undergraduate studies at Obafemi Awolowo University.
The former columnist was born into a family of politicians — with her father Michael Prest and grandfather, Arthur Prest, being politicians.
The 60-year-old was first married to a businessman, Jimmy Davies. After a divorce, she tied the knot with Ajayi.
